 Thanks to all who attended Eli’s Cheesecake’s 30th Birthday Twitter Party held last night, Wednesday, September 15 at 10pm ET!

Using the hashtag #elicake we all joined in a discussion on birthdays, desserts and of course, Eli’s Cheesecake! The party was hosted by Eli’s Marketing team (@elischeesecake, @elispastrychef and @elislice) and TweeParties (@TweeParties).

In case you missed it, here’s what happened:

We discussed favorite birthday desserts (the resounding favorite among last night’s attendees was…cheesecake!)

We also mentioned our favorite cheesecakes: plain, chocolate chip, pumpkin, turtle were among the many.

We covered main points about Eli’s Cheesecake:

• Eli’s is family-owned
• Eli’s started in 1980 and continues to make cheesecakes using its original recipe
• Eli’s cheesecakes are Kosher, hand-decorated and made with all natural ingredients, including natural dairy
• The cakes come in over 50 flavors and can be custom-made
• Sign up for their mailing list for special events and promotions at the Eli’s Cheesecake website and be entered to win a cheesecake (drawing held each month)
• When in Chicago, you can tour the Eli’s facility as well as try some samples at Eli’s Cafe
• About 60% of Eli’s desserts contain chocolate

We also discussed some cheesecake serving tips, including the fact that cheesecakes can be stored for up to 6 months in the freezer. Attendees also gave some of their own tips for serving cheesecake including: running the serving knife under warm water before serving, not leaving the cakes out from the fridge for too long, and to buy the sampler to serve at parties.

Party attendees were treated to a couple of special offers announced during the party.

We also had a ‘special appearance’ by Marc Schulman, President of Eli’s Cheesecake, who tweeted during the event and announced a special offer for attendees.

There were also giveaways! The cheesecake winners were: @lifeonprint, @Goin2Carolina, @purplelover04.  @LorriJeanne and @glassfishie won Eli’s t-shirts.
